Post temporar la Comisia Europeana cu deadline-ul pe 31 august si posturi vacante pentru Experti Nationali Secundari SNE. Dosarul de candidatura trebuie sa contina CV-ul european al aplicantului, care poate fi descarcat în limbile engleza, franceza sau germana de pe site-ul Comisiei Europene (http://www.cedefop.eu.int/transparency/cv.asp). Candidatii trebuie sa mentioneze directia generala, unitatea si pozitia pentru care aplica.

2.  Main areas of responsibility:

Within the Eurostat unit for dissemination of statistical data the seconded official will be occupied with strategic and practical issues in the further evolution of the dissemination function of statistical data in close cooperation with the head of unit. Main subjects will be the determination of the general approach for improving the electronic dissemination via the Internet as well as the detailed work of conceiving and designing suitable tools and products.

The main objectives are to reach new types of users and to improve the ease of use and the presentation of statistical data. A further important subject will be the further development of Eurostat publications in order to link them closer to electronic dissemination and to integrate the content of publications stronger with the content of the Eurostat Internet. In these tasks the seconded official will cooperate closely with National Statistical Offices in bilateral projects and in the context of Working Groups and Task Forces.

3.  Main qualifications:

The successful candidate should have a background in statistics and preferably also in dissemination of statistical data, very good analytical capacity as well as communication and drafting skills. Some IT knowledge would also be desirable.

Very good knowledge of English is essential and a working knowledge of French and/or German is desirable.
